Tenuta Canto Alla Moraia is located just a few kilometers from beautiful Arezzo, a city of Etruscan origin, founded in the 7th century B.C., with an elegant medieval historic center that holds precious works of art, such as the Pieve di Santa Maria, the church of San Francesco, a treasure trove of Piero della Francesca's cycle of frescoes, and the marvelous Piazza Vasari, the setting of the Giostra del Saracino (a historical re-enactment of a medieval jousting already mentioned by Dante) and home to Italy's largest Antiques Fair.

Arezzo is also the hometown of Renaissance poet Francesco Petrarca, Giorgio Vasari, a painter, architect and one of Italy's leading Renaissance art historians whose house museum can be visited by Guido Monaco, inventor of the stave and father of music.

In 1997 Roberto Benigni, chose Arezzo to shoot the historic film "Life is Beautiful" which recounts the tragedy of the holocaust and won several awards including 3 Oscars and the Cannes Grand prix.

Arezzo lies at the center of an imaginary four-leaf clover, the leaves of which are the four valleys that stretch across the province, each different in history, natural features and scattered with works of art and places to visit.

Casentino with its forests, castles and spiritual places dear to St. Francis.

The Valdichiana, lush plains reclaimed by the architect Fossombroni, with its architectural gems Cortona and Lucignano.

The Valtiberina, the land of Piero della Francesca, with its jewels Anghiari and Sansepolcro, is a place where Arno and Tiber embrace

The Valdarno, with its gullies already dear to Leonardo, crossed by the Setteponti road, traced largely from the ancient Cassia Vetus that joined Fiesole and Arezzo, and considered by travelers and cyclists to be one of the most beautiful roads in Italy.
